Between 2005 and 2007 UN peacekeeping troops carried out several raids on Cite Soleil, an economically-depressed neighborhood of Port au Prince. The raids were targeted against leaders of criminal gangs but scores of civilians were killed, including children, and many more injured. Amnesty International has repeatedly called on the UN to carry out an impartial investigation into these deaths and publish the results: but it has not done so. This documentary returns to Cité Soleil and using participatory practices examines the impact of those raids on the community and to find out how victims of those raids have fared in the ten years since they occurred.
Entre 2005 y 2007, las tropas de mantenimiento de la paz de la ONU llevaron a cabo varias redadas en Cite Soleil, un barrio económicamente deprimido de Puerto Príncipe. Las redadas fueron dirigidas contra líderes de bandas criminales, pero decenas de civiles fueron asesinados, incluidos niños, y muchos más heridos. Amnistía Internacional ha pedido reiteradamente a la ONU que lleve a cabo una investigación imparcial sobre estas muertes y publique los resultados, pero no lo ha hecho. Este documental regresa a Cité Soleil y, utilizando prácticas participativas, examina el impacto de esas redadas en la comunidad y descubre cómo les ha ido a las víctimas de esas redadas en los diez años transcurridos desde que ocurrieron.
